Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) is a gentle trauma therapy that works at the brainstem level — the part of the brain responsible for our most basic survival responses.

Unlike approaches that focus mainly on thoughts or memories, DBR clears the shock held in the nervous system at the moment trauma first occurs — a level that many modalities don’t reach.

By resolving this shock, DBR can help reduce symptoms that have been difficult to shift, such as anxiety, hypervigilance, shutdown, or chronic tension. It also helps process the deep sense of core aloneness often rooted in early attachment wounds.

As these stuck patterns are released many people experience reduced trauma symptoms and a profound transformation toward vitality, resilience, and presence.

In short:
✨ DBR helps the brain and body switch from survival patterns to a state of safety, connection, and aliveness — supporting deep healing and transformation.

Inclusive Virtual Counselling for Adults over 18

I live and am supported on the Traditional lands of the Anishnabek, Haudenosaunee and Chonnonton Nations on Treaty 3 (Between the Lakes). I recognize that this statement does not begin to adequately describe the rich histories and many nations and cultures who have cared for and tended these lands since time immemorial. I have benefitted so deeply from this stolen land. I am both deeply grateful to the Waters, Land and all the First Nations, Inuit and Métis Peoples of Turtle Island who I have learned from, and I am committed to decolonizing my ways of being and ways of knowing. I know this is life-long learning and I have much to learn. I support Land Defenders and Indigenous Sovereignty. 2% of earnings from my work will be given to Indigenous Climate Action.
